The Eurofighter Typhoon is a European twin-engine, canard delta wing, multirole fighter. The Typhoon was designed originally as an air superiority fighter and is manufactured by a consortium of Airbus, BAE Systems and Leonardo that conducts the majority of the project through a joint holding company, Eurofighter Jagdflugzeug GmbH. The NATO Eurofighter and Tornado Management Agency, representing the UK, Germany, Italy and Spain manages the project and is the prime customer. Eurofighter EF-2000 98+07 began as 30+44 c/n 151/GS029/PA7, a regular Luftwaffe registration but when it was designated as a test aircraft the registration changed to 98+07. On January 19, 2022 Instrumented Production Aircraft (IPA7) 98+07 completed its maiden flight wearing the new colorful paint scheme. This celebrated the 60 years Airbus has been located at Manching. Airbus uses Manching as one of their locations to test military design and development. The blue and white scheme represents the Bavarian flag and the tail displays various shapes of aircraft from the past and for the future
