AA35313sm.jpg APRIL 2017 RELEASE: North American B-25B Mitchell, 40-2249, ""Hari Kari-er"", Doolittle Raid, 1942 1:72, Limited Edition Of 1556 Units WorldWide. As the USS Hornet task force approached the Japanese coast, they were spotted by an enemy ship and decided to launch their aircraft early. Just after 8am on 18th April 1942, sixteen B-25 bombers lifted off the relatively short deck of USS Hornet and set course for Japan – this would be the first time that any of these airmen had taken off from the deck of an aircraft carrier at sea. Flying at extremely low level, the raiders had a six-hour flight ahead of them before reaching their targets, almost certain that they would be intercepted by enemy fighters. If they managed to complete their mission, they would then fly on to China, but it would be very much a case of every man for himself. 1/72 119.95 PRE-ORDER DUE APRIL 2017

Although many of the ominous theoreticalaircraft designs proposed by Nazi engineers remained permanently stalled by logistical limitations, the Messerschmitt 329 Zerstörer was not among them. By March 1942, the Me 329 had progressed to the pre-production stage, with a full-scale wooden mock-up being tested in the wind tunnel. This replica is amazingly accurate, including its rear-mounted propellers and authentic camouflage scheme. 10” wingspan. 1/72 34.95 PRE-ORDER DUE MAY 2017

LUFT006sm.jpg JUNE 2017 RELEASE: Blohm & Voss Bv P209 1/72 Resin Display Model. The immediately distinctive feature of the BV 209.02 is clearly the forward-swept wings, intended to alleviate some of the perceived shortcomings of straight-winged models such as the compressibility problems at high speeds and instability at low speeds. This model is accurately detailed from the signature wings to the colorful camouflage scheme. 5” long. LUFT007sm.jpg JUNE 2017 RELEASE: Focke-Wulf Ta 283 1/72 Resin Display Model. Very little substantial documentation exists on the FW-Ta 283, and modern-day speculation of its purpose and design originates from a single pen and ink drawing. In desperate need of an answer to the relentless Allied bombing of German cities during 1945, the Ta 283 was to be a fighter-interceptor aircraft used to meet these invading attackers head-on. This stunning model features sharply sleek design and realistic twin ramjet engines. 6¾ long. LUFT010sm.jpg MAY 2017 RELEASE: Haunebu I, In an attempt to create the world’s leading military, Hitler tasked Germany’s most innovative engineers with developing a series of cutting-edge, often bizarre aircraft, many of which never made it past the drawing board. And, according to some, the Third Reich’s scientific capabilities were so progressive that they began work on a series of secretive spacecraft. Known as “Haunebu,” these flying saucers were built upon specialized engines and, again according to some theorists, they remain in underground bases around the world. Representing one of these otherworldly ships, this 1/72 scale model an exciting collectible in the acclaimed Luft-X series, features an advanced circular design, three undercarriage ball turrets, and authentic German markings. 8"" diameter. 1/72 49.95 PRE-ORDER DUE MAY 2017

AF1-0150sm.jpg MAY 2017 RELEASE: Pudgy IV 431st FS, 475th FG, Maj. Thomas McGuire, P-38J Lightning 1/48 Die Cast Model. The second highest-scoring American pilot of World War II, Major Thomas McGuire of the 475th Fighter Group tallied his first kill on August 18, 1943 a day he took down three Imperial warbirds. The following day, after two more takedowns, he was already an ace. All of Major McGuire’s victories were scored in P-38 Lightnings of which he flew numerous iterations, each nicknamed after his new wife: Pudgy. While piloting Pudgy IV on October 24, 1944, McGuire shot down two Oscars over the Philippines before being forced to land and give up his cherished warplane to the 49th Fighter Group, a unit which suffered heavy attrition. The newest release from Air Force 1, this 1/48 scale, die cast reproduction of McGuire’s “Pudgy IV” features a striking attention to historical detail including authentic nose art, a glazed canopy, optional-position landing gear, and an all-metal display stand. 12¾"" wingspan. 1/48 99.95 PRE-ORDER DUE MAY 2017
