The delta-wing Convair B-58 Hustler was developed for the USAF’s Strategic Air Command in the late 1950s as the first operational jet bomber capable of Mach 2 supersonic flight. Replicating “The Firefly,” a B-58A that, flown by the 43rd Bombardment Wing, set the New York to Paris speed record of 3:19:51 (an average speed of 1,089.36 mph) in May, 1961, this 1/250 scale, die cast Sky Defenders model features glazed cockpit windows, a fuselage-mounted payload and fuel pod, retracted landing gear, and razor-sharp, printed markings. The second release in the Sky Defenders series of die cast warplanes, this model measures approximately 4½"" long with a 2¾"" wingspan and includes a display stand.

Replicating the first of two prototype XB-70A Valkyrie nuclear-capable bombers (designed to fly Mach 3+ at an altitude of 70,000 feet) built by North American Aviation in the 1960s, this 1/500 scale, die cast Sky Defenders model features simulated cockpit windows, prototypical canards and twin vertical tails, realistic engine exhausts, retracted landing gear, and razor-sharp, printed markings.
